4 Keys to Authentic Allyship in Law, Construction, and Insurance

Introduction

Diversity-In-Law,-Construction,-&-Insurance--The-Do's-&-Don'ts-of-Allyship-Event-Page-Image.jpg

“I just want to know what the rules are! I don’t know when I’m going to offend someone these days!”

In an increasingly diverse world, this cry of concern can either be genuine and well-meaning or hostile and defensive. Regardless of the intent, minority voices are the most qualified people to turn to when asking, “How do I be a supportive ally?”

Allies are typically non-minorities who use their majority status to enact positive change: our panelists will speak from personal experience about the do’s and don’ts of being a supportive ally through actions and words. While a panel of four cannot speak for the experiences of diverse people, this platform is an important opportunity for an open dialogue about topics otherwise deemed too sensitive for professional discussion.
